In today’s world leading companies are agreed that the manpower development is one of the most important strategy elements that company’s executives must be assured and underscored. As type of planting soil is a vital for the tree’s survival and growth. Empowering employees through skills can instill trust in leadership and lead to greater productivity and creativity all of which ultimately results employee retention.
With this regard, Golis Company is embarking on implementing training project (PMP) for aspiring staff from different departments within organization namely; Technical, Operations, Commercial/sales and Support department whose are in total 70 persons. The training was held at Bosaso (Golis HQ), and conducted on 14 days from 18th September, to 12th October, 2021. The Golis executives were engaged and contracted Senior trainer from prestigious Institute (PMI) to carry out the training for Project Management Professional (PMP).
The objective of the training program was to increase knowledge and skills of the company’s manpower and encourage to apply the generally recognized practices of project management acknowledged by the project management institute (PMI, PMBOK) to successfully and professionally manage any form of projects or programs that Golis Company may undertake in the near future. The Training contents was emphasized Project management principles and frameworks, management processes, 5 domains, ITTO, preparation of project management plans, includes project charter, Cost, scope and schedule and capacity to manage project risks along with advance PMP skills with formalized, recognized and standard based approaches. This program aimed at making the trainees practice what they learnt once they get back to their real environments, offices or fields, this will allow them to practice professionally on their day-to-day activities. As training was practical and engaging, being delivered through adult learning methodologies.
At the end of the training, we have a confidence that the participants will have the necessary skills to be more professional, productive and increase their participation in the workforce, both ongoing projects and future planned projects or programs. This expectation was conformed and proved by the assessment commenced on the last day of the training in which all the participants agreed that the training was ‘’Excellent’’ For the closing day, participants were thanked all those who participated in the process including Golis executives, Himilo Consulting team, (training provider) and other support team, also thanked the lead trainer, Mr. M. Mahad for being willing to share his experiences, knowledge and skills and wished the trainee good luck and a successful career development.
